Pleatling soaks up every scrap of light it can find and keeps it folded under its frill. When it's startled, the frill snaps open and throws all of it back at once.
The Frill Lizard
Lizards hatched from the embers of a fallen sun, or so the Binders say. Their frills drink light and give it back as fire, and none of them is ever cold. What a Frill Lizard does with all that stored heat decides what it becomes.
